EUROPEAN PARTNERSHIPS

WMO RA-VI

WMO is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) with 193 Member States and Territories. It is the UN system’s authoritative voice on the state and behaviour of the Earth’s atmosphere, its interaction with the land and oceans, the weather and climate it produces and the resulting distribution of water resources.

ECOMET

ECOMET is an Economic Interest Grouping under Belgian law located in Brussels who aims to maintain a level playing field for commercial activities on the basis of meteorological data in Europe through the facilitation of access to meteorological data and products throughout Europe and through acting as data policy advisors towards the community  regarding the exchange of meteorological data and products in Europe.

ECMWF

The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is an independent intergovernmental organisation supported by 34 states.
ECMWF is both a research institute and a 24/7 operational service, producing and disseminating numerical weather predictions to its Member States.

 

EMS

The European Meteorological Society (EMS) will advance the science, profession and application of meteorology, and of sciences related to it, at the Europe-wide level, for the benefit of the whole population. To this end EMS will work to enhance cooperation, communication and understanding between Member Societies and Associate Members.

EUMETSAT

EUMETSAT is an intergovernmental organisation and was founded in 1986. Our purpose is to supply weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – to the National Meteorological Services of our Member and Cooperating States in Europe, and other users worldwide.

EUROGOOS

EuroGOOS is an international non-profit association of national governmental agencies, research organisations, and private companies, committed to European-scale operational oceanography within the context of the intergovernmental Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS). Founded in 1994, EuroGOOS has today 41 members from 19 European countries providing operational oceanographic services and carrying out marine research.
