Workshop on “Develop your own EDR API from scratch”
New IT infrastructure is being developed by National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) to exchange national High Value Datasets (HVD) with the public under the EU Open Data Directive 2019/1024.To make this feasible, NMHSs are developing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that allow the automatic transfer of data for specific data demands. The API standard used in RODEO is the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Environmental Data Retrieval (EDR) API. This is an international standard for the retrieval of environmental data.
The workshop targets software developers within EUMETNET members who will build OGC EDR APIs. The workshop is organised by the EUMETNET Climate programme and RODEO WP5 on Climate data for all EUMETNET Members and Cooperating Third Parties.
